Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage course presented by SacredLomi.com in Vancouver – July 17-19, 2009

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

I am happy to announce that Tom Cochran and Donna Jason from SacredLomi.com coming back to a beautiful Vancouver to teach a 3 day Hawaiian Lomi Lomi I and II Massage course.   Due to popular demand, Tom and Donna decided to teach the course in Vancouver every year in July.

Sacred Lomi, Hawaiian Temple Bodywork is the only Certified Course in British Columbia and open both to seasoned Bodyworkers, Spa Therapists, Massage Therapists, Masseurs/Masseuses and to general public.  Registered Massage Therapists earn 21 Continuing Education Credits approved by College of Massage Therapy British Columbia (CMTBC).

According to SacredLomi.com – “Hawaiian Temple Bodywork is a unique form of Lomi Lomi that weaves the principles of shamanic movement, sacred touch, flowing forearm techniques, aloha, awareness, self-care and intention into a complete system of hands-on healing.”

The course is structured in a way that personal healing occurs through giving and receiving Sacred Lomi massage. It is a truly liberating and awakening experience.

I took the course last year and quickly incorporated Lomi Lomi into my massage practice in West End Vancouver and received glowing feedback from my clients.  One of my clients said: “Your massage is great and is unlike many other massages I have received.  Especially I loved the flowing elbow and sense of full body massage.”

We are privileged to have Tom and Donna, who have been teaching for over 8 years in major cities in America and Hawaii, share this wonderful healing massage modality in Vancouver.

Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage offering in West End, Vancouver

Hawaiian Lomi Lomi (Temple Bodywork Style):

As I mentioned before, I took 4 day Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage workshops with Tom Cochran and Donna Jason from SacredLomi.com and now Lomi Lomi I and II Certified.  It was great experience not only to learn Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage, but also experience its power when 2 people massaged you.  The whole 4 day workshop was to open your heart, connect your body/mind and spirit in a way that allowed to surrender your body and mind and spirit yet at the same time to reconnect in a deeper level.

It was truly healing experience for me and clearly showed that I would continue my learning of Shamanic Tradition and Hawaiian Lomi Lomi  in particular.  As a giver (practitioner) it was truly humbling experience to see how the other students were opening up in front your eyes and experiencing a deep shift within them whether it is obvious or it is a subtle change.   Overall, it was a great experience and I have made new friends at this workshop.

Tom and Donna are planning to do Vancouver workshops at my massage school next year.  Check out Tom and Donna’s website for upcoming workhshops worldwide and Vancouver in particular at  sacredlomi.com

For my clients, I have added Hawaiian Lomi Lomi (Temple Style) as a stand alone or part of my Zen Fusion Massage.  My clients have overwhelmingly loved this new addition and look forward to experience it.  It adds as I call it 3 dimensionality to your body sensations and awareness which is usually not achieved in Swedish or Deep Tissue massage techniques.

Lomi Lomi uses long flowing elbow strokes from head to toe to create a truly holistic experience (full body connection,  body/mind/spirit connection,  psychical, energetic and mental body connection,  emotional body and physical body connection and release, etc). It is truly your experience to be in the moment and experience your happiness.

Call Spencer at 604-512-5074 to book your appointment and explore Hawaiian Lomi Lomi today and receive an unforgettable massage experience that will ‘forever’ change your understanding of massage and its healing powers.

Learning Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage

Learning Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage in Vancouver, July 21- 24, 2008

I am excited to share that I am going to take Hawaiian Lomi Lomi (Temple Style) on July 21- 24.  It is a 4 day workshop (Level 1 and Level 2) taught by Tom Cochran and Donna Jason.  Check out the workshop details at http://www.sacredlomi.com

Here is the description from Tom’s website:

Lomi Lomi means “to massage”, “to knead” or “to weave”. Weaving aloha, weaving light, weaving spirit, weaving consciousness into the unconscious. There are many different styles of Lomi Lomi, each unique to its lineage. Most well known are “Temple Style” and Auntie Margaret’s style, also known as “Big Island Syle”. Sacred Lomi® is based on “Temple Style” – “Hawaiian Temple Bodywork”. (http://sacredlomi.com)

I have asked Tom to come to teach Hawaiian Lomi Lomi workshop in Vancouver and I am excited that he agreed to teach this workshop in Vancouver at my Massage school (Vancouver School of Bodywork and Massage)

I believe this is going to be a beginning of my exploration of Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage and 1st step towards combining Shamanic Healing and Massage.  This is a next step in my journey that started when I was young in Kazakhstan with Central Asian shamanic tradition, followed by my participation in  Shamanic Healing with Peruvian Shamans (14 days  in the Amazons in 2007 (June – more at Ayahuaska SpiritQuest .) It was truly enlightening experience and healing in a deeper level.  A shaman and facilitator Howard Lawler created a truly healing space for personal and spiritual development where you experience an authenic shamanic healing and self-exploration.  A Peruvian shaman – Don Rober de Lamas is a kind and highly spiritual shaman whose healing (unconditional love) can be felt during the ceremonies and 1×1 healing.  I am planning to continue my healing in Peru in 2009.  Stay tuned for in depth article on my journey in Peru (both Machu Pichu and Iquitos, Amazon Jungle).

I  strongly recommend to contact Howard if you are ‘ready’ to learn more and awaken your spiritual self.  This is a not a tourist travel, but a spiritual quest for serious seekers.

I will be adding Hawaiian Lomi Lomi  Massage to my Zen Fusion Massage and will also offer Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage as separate massage sessions after September 15, 2008.
